The days, a week in Kathmandu has flewn away!!
We have learned Nepali with Umesh, been sightseeing with Kamal and we have attended a newari-wedding with Dipesh.
But most of the time we spent in buying materials for the volleyball project.
Along with Dipesh we have been around in Kathmandu’s narrow streets buying stuff for The Peter Sørensen Cup. It has been a pleasure to work with Dipesh. He is efficient, reliable and he always has a friend somewhere who has a shop that sells excaaaactly what we are looking for. Balls, pumps, nets and whistles were quickly purchased. Three sets of T-shirts are now being sewn and the names of the three villages are being printed on the back. They will be finished tonight, and we look forward to seeing them.
Prizes for the big tournament are some games, Klods Major and Twister, brought from Denmark. For the games some nice metal boxes have been made here in Kathmandu. First prize is also from Denmark, namely the great looking Peter Sørensen Trophy.
….. Tomorrow morning we are leaving Kathmandu for the three villages in Madi where we are going to live and work for the coming 7 weeks. We are looking so much forward for tomorrow morning to come.
